Programa de Voluntariado Internacional Namasté

THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED DUE TO LACK OF RESOURCES

“Today, I understand how many ways there are to look at the world and how many colors each one’s rainbow may have. Our work was to share. To share and to receive different ways to see the same thing, different ways to be a person. It was to teach English so they can speak to the wind, to show that hygiene is important and protects us, but it was about learning so much more! That the Earth is much bigger than we imagined, that the truth isn’t always ours, that what we consider little may simply, and perfectly, be enough.”

(Filipa Rodrigues, ADDHU Volunteer in Nepal)

The Namasté International Volunteer Program was launched in January 2008, with the departure of 3 volunteers to assist for 2 months the children of the Asna orphanage, located in the region of Chitwan. The volunteers travelled with a team of ADDHU staff, who donated school supplies, medicines and clothes to the 25 children living in the orphanage, as well as a refrigerator acquired locally.
