In Chitwan, southeast of Nepal, near the city of Narayanghat, in the rural region of Rampur, lies the small village of Sharampur: characterized by extreme poverty, with no basic sanitation or water supply systems, its population struggles to survive.

Programa Sahayak   Programa Sahayak

Through the Sahayak Program, you can help a Nepalese family to break the poverty cycle, significantly improving its living conditions while promoting development within the community.

Programa Sahayak

The Sahayak Program consists of financially supporting or sponsoring a Nepalese family by:

  • Giving a monthly contribution for food, education or healthcare expenses;
  • Making a donation for the rehabilitation of the family’s house;
  • Microcredit support.

The amount of the donations will be determined according to the each sponsor’s wishes and financial availability.

The selection criteria for the families applying to this program are based on the urgency of the family’s situation, and priority is given to monoparental families (widows or single mothers) as well as families with sick or handicapped members.

Programa Sahayak

Every 6 months, the sponsor receives a report about the family’s situation and progress with pictures, as well as a tax-deductible receipt (valid only in Portugal).
